10 beauty products you need when you are on a holiday

Checklists keep piling up when we are preparing for a holiday. While flights require you to limit the products you are taking within 100ml. Whether you’re heading out for a long weekend or couple of weeks away, there’s no need to say bon voyage to looking your best. Travel light and still feel like you have all your makeup and hair needs on hand with this jet-setter’s checklist of what to stow when you’re on the go for hassle-free travel!

1.Ear-plugs, tooth kit and eye-mask

On international select flights you do find these kits, but should we take a chance? We know in public holiday situations these things come in handy. Anything like a reading light or a crying baby should not ruin your vacation. Better safe than sorry!

2.Nasal spray and pain-killers

The one thing that has made me thank my instincts is carrying my pills with me. Anything happens- emergency? Painkillers to the rescue! Also, airplanes can give us a headache with the air con and our painkillers significantly reduce our chances of developing bugs. Most people cannot adjust to changing temperatures and cold is a common problem. Stay sorted!

3.Face wash and deodorant

The first thing you do when you wake up from, say, a nice beach holiday is maybe de-tan your face- clean it for the least and maybe you feel disgusted with the constant beach to smell the sea blesses you with- you know the quick-fix!

4.Sun cream

IS THERE ANY NEED TO SPEAK ABOUT THIS? Even if you plan on getting just one thing to your vacation- let it be this. Health and beauty take a huge stand with sun creams today. They come with SPF and whitening ingredients, this is one highly recommended product.

5.After sun, body lotion, body oils

I know I may be crossing the line with so many products right now but essentials are essentials. All these products provide you with the necessary moisture your skin desperately needs on any holiday. The plus points include the minimal effort that goes into applying these things- apply before sleep and soak in the best!

6.Make-up essentials-

Make-up is secondary for most but our skin tends to look a lot healthier and sun-kissed with just a little bit of foundation and cover-ups. The dark spots are done to death with- a little concealer, tinted moisturizer and highlighter and you are sorted. Pack the basics- mascara, brow pencil and a tinted lip balm! You don’t want anyone with bad eyebrows tell you about life and you definitely don’t one to be the one with bad eyebrows!

7.Dry shampoo

Let’s be honest here, there’s really not enough time to shampoo your hair regularly when you’re vacating and dry shampoo works like gangbusters on yesterdays grease. Had a beach day and have a party at night? Dry shampoo to the rescue!

8.Lip Balm

Keep your lips nourished, hydrated and supple all day long! You don’t want to risk this, trust me.

9.Location-inspo

Let your location inspire you. Going to the beach? Pack coral and bronze makeup shades and a light, tropical fragrance. Off to Paris? Red lips and some Chanel No. 5. New York-bound? Experiment with anything and everything- Dramatic eyes,  nude lipsticks as long as you’re not making a make-up faux pas!

10.Foot Spray

Long walks on the sand or treks on the hills can leave our feet tired and aching. Does that mean you don’t venture out? Of course not. Their blend of pure and natural oils of Valeriana, tangerine, and Clary Sage rejuvenates your muscles and makes you active and energetic.

With these little hacks, it becomes absolutely easy to maintain a nice lifestyle on a vacation. Over everything else, your skin is glowing- it is safe and cared for and you can absolutely enjoy the breeze, the sun, the cold and have the time of your life!

Best Mascara for luscious looking lashes

Don’t you love having those perfectly long and luscious looking lashes? Cause I surely do!  And I can’t explain how important mascara is to me. There are days when I just walk out of the door with a bare face but never without mascara. That’s a mandatory product for me.

So, these are some of my current favourite mascara’s.

2

(All of the products are waterproof.)

  • Maybelline’s Falsies Volum’ Express Mascara-The spoon brush of this product makes my lashes look so natural and also builds up volume. It fans out my lashes from corner to corner and builds up volume without clumping up my lashes.
  • Mistine’s Prolong 4D Dimension Mascara-This mascara is what I use almost everyday because it makes my lashes look longer and so natural. I love mascara’s that give a natural look to my lashes. It’s got a very nice pigment and it also curls my lashes up to a 90 degree angle in just one application. This saves so much time, literally!
  • Chanel’s Waterproof Wonderlift and Curl Mascara– With such a precise wand, coating my upper and lower lashes is less time consuming. It coats every lash evenly without making it look clumpy or getting smudged all over my eyelids or my under eyes.
  • Maybelline Volum’ Express  Rocket Mascara-This mascara has a patented supersonic brush with micro bristles that gives sleek volume, instantly. By adding a second coat, I can achieve the perfect voluminous look, very easily.
  • Maybelline’s Lash Sensation Mascara- This is literally my favourite mascara and I just cannot get over this. The bristles give my lashes a flourished and fuller look. Also, because of the amazing wand and the liquid ink formula, my lashes get a full fan effect and that’s something I love, plus it’s super pigmented, long lasting and waterproof!

These are some products that anybody would fall in love because of the final results! You can find all these products on Nykaa and also get a really good deal on them.

So, I hope you guys like it and if you do own any of these products or end up trying it out anytime soon, like, comment and let me know what you think about them.  I’m pretty sure you’re gonna fall in love with them just like me.

Natural ingredients and their beauty effects

While there are plenty of wonderful products to help keep our skin clean, clear and glowy, there’s something to be said for the power of Mother Nature. From improving your skin’s texture to preventing acne and beyond, there are plenty of reasons to incorporate process-free, natural elements into your skincare regimen.

 Coffee
Your morning cup does more than give you a much-needed energy boost: When combined with almond oil, and applied as a paste during a massage, ground coffee beans can tone and tighten skin, reducing the appearance of cellulite. Plus, the antioxidants in coffee help to release toxins from the skin, which is not only helpful for cellulite but also gives you a healthy glow from head to toe.

Ground coffee can also help remove product build-up from your hair, as well as add shine. If you have dark hair, try rubbing some leftover grounds into wet strands and then rinsing.

Coconut Oil

One of the most versatile skin (and food) ingredients is coconut oil.

Use coconut oil on both your skin and hair to help cleanse, moisturize, remove makeup, heal wounds or scars quicker, and prevent razor burn. Coconut oil used internally is also beneficial for your looks. It contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, plus loads of healthy fats that help nourish your gut and increase immune function.

 Sea Salt

Sea salt comes loaded with tons of minerals and nutrients like magnesium, calcium, sodium and potassium that it absorbs from the sea water where it’s produced. Many of these minerals are the same ones found in our skin cells and within our bodies, which is exactly why real sea salt can help balance, protect and restore the skin.

Use real Himalayan or Celtic sea salts in homemade facial masks, toners and scrubs with other skin-boosting ingredients like coconut oil, lavender essential oil and raw honey. The salt contains anti-inflammatory properties to soothe skin and calm breakouts, remove dead skin cells and irritation, balance oil production, and help the skin retain moisture levels.

 Aloe Vera

Most people associate aloe vera benefits with healing sunburns, but did you know that aloe also contains bacteria-fighting, soothing ingredients that fight inflammation, redness and itching? For hundreds of years aloe has been used to treat skin diseases, infections and as a natural treatment for fungal diseases.

Recent research results suggest that aloe vera is effective for burns and wound healing, but surprisingly it also detoxifies you from the inside out.

This natural plant is a genius solution for dark circles, as it is loaded with Vitamin E and C. Apply raw gel on the dark circles and the eyelid area overnight. Try to follow this ritual on a regular basis for best results.

So open your kitchen cabinets as that’s where the real beauty secrets are hidden!

MAKE-UP FAUX PAS WE OFTEN MAKE!

Make up makes you look flawless and perfect. But if not applied in a proper way, it can make you look disastrous too. While applying makeup, we tend to make major make up goof ups. So, to avoid these blunders, you should be aware of the right make up tricks. Here are some of the make-up faux pas that we usually tend to make.

USING EXPIRED MAKE UP- The most important thing to be kept in mind while using make up is that you should use genuine and good quality make up products. Spurious and outdates products can take a toll on your skin. Like any product, makeup too has an expiration date so see to it that you do not use it beyond the expiration date.

SLEEPING IN YOUR MAKE UP- At times we are too lazy or tired to take off our makeup and tend to sleep with our make up on. But this will have repercussions on your skin as it can cause skin rashes and irritation. So, make it a point to take it off before you sleep with a makeup cleanser.

USING THE WRONG PRIMER FOR YOUR FOUNDATION- Primer is usually used to hold your make up for longer hours and to create a smooth surface for your foundation. But what kind you are using also makes a big difference. You should match your foundation with the primer.

NOT CLEANING YOUR BRUSHES- Sanitising your brushes is very essential. You should clean your brushes with a little bit of shampoo in lukewarm water. If not cleaned regularly, it can result in the formation of pores due to bacteria build up.

IMPROPER WAY OF APPLYING A LIPLINER-We apply a lip liner to get fuller lips but this can backfire if not applied properly as once your lipstick fades away, the line will be exposed. So, to get it right, fill in your lips with the liner and then add lipstick or gloss over that.

USING TOO MUCH FOUNDATION-We always have this notion that if we apply too much foundation our face will look flawless. But it’s a misconception. Infact, it makes your face cakey and can make you look horrible. You can use a concealer to hide those blemishes.

INCORRECT WAY OF APPLYING BLUSH-We always make a mistake while applying blush. We just apply it on the apple of our cheeks. For correct application, smile and drag your brushlightly from the apples all the way till the cheekbone. Follow this method to avoid a doll or a clown look.

IMPROPER USE OF EYE LINER AND MASCARA-The common blunder made while applying eye liner isnot knowing how to apply the correct line width as per the shape for your eyes. As far as the mascara is concerned, we often keep pumping it in and out which can dry the mascara which can make our lashes look spidery.

Make up should enhance and beautify your look rather than making it look ugly. You must always keep it minimal and natural. Remember these make up blunders so that you apply it in a right way and get that perfect look!

9 Listerine uses you probably never heard of

Listerine is a popular mouthwash solution which was introduced as a surgical antiseptic in 1879. However, it wasn’t marketed as a bad breath remedy until the 1970s. Listerine contains helpful ingredients such as eucalyptus, thyme, and alcohol which can do so much more than eliminating oral bacteria. For example, rubbing a cotton ball soaked in Listerine on your armpits can eliminate all the bacteria and prevent odors. Here are some Listerine uses you probably never heard of:

  1. Use it on your armpits
Just soak a cotton ball in Listerine and dab it on your underarms to kill the bacteria and prevent body odor. This is an effective and quick solution if you’ve gone out of deodorant and can’t go buy a new one at the moment.
  1. Soak your feet in it
Make a Listerine foot bath and soak your feet in it for 30 minutes to get rid of toenail fungus and prevent the infection from spreading.
  1. Pour it down the toilet
Listerine can clean and deodorize your toilet bowl, so pour some down it and scrub a little to make the bowl pearly white and shiny again.
  1. Dab it on your itches
Dabbing some Listerine on bug bites or poison ivy and poison oak stings will provide some much-needed relief.
  1. Use it on your hair

Pour some Listerine on your head, massage it into the scalp, wrap your hair in a towel and let it work for a few hours in order to get rid of dandruff and prevent scalp infections.

  1. Rub it on your dog

Listerine is an effective remedy against fleas. Just rub some of it into the hair of your dog, or mix it with a pet shampoo and water to get rid of the pests quickly.

  1. Use it on your face

Dabbing some Listerine on your face will effectively reduce acne. The mouthwash solution works better than antibiotics and topical creams and has helped many people defeat acne and other skin problems.

  1. Stick your toothbrush in it

Just as it can defeat bacteria in your mouth, Listerine can also defeat germs on your toothbrush. Fill your nightstand glass with some Listerine and stick your toothbrush in it for a couple of hours in order to destroy all bacteria.

  1. Spray it on your screen

Spray some Listerine on your TV or pc screen and wipe with a soft cloth afterwards to get rid of smudges and unwanted gunk. The product will also leave a nice minty smell behind instead of the chemical smell left by window-cleaning products.

Lets Pamper yourself this monsoon.

Rainy season brings relief from the heat of summer causing sun burns, tans, sweaty and stinky days.Rainy season is a refreshing season for everyone but due to humid weather it brings different kinds of infections . With the approach of raining season, you need to think about extra care to your skin as this is the time you get all types of microbial organisms in the environment which is likely to trouble you with skin infections.Fungal and bacterial infections are common in the rainy season. The skin and hair care is essential due to  high risk of allergies and irritation due to rainy water .

Person with dry skin must drink lots of water to keep the skin hydrated and to wash off the toxins from the body. The skin must be clean and moisturized. Alcohol based toners must not be used.

In oily skin person excess oil must be removed by washing the face 2-3 times a day.Hot water wash is more beneficial than cold water as hot water helps in dissolving the oil from the skin easily.

  • The skin must be cleaned daily with a soap free cleanser and the dead cells removed by gently rubbing the skin.
  • Consumption of water must be increased during the rainy season to keep the skin hydrated.
  • A toner must be used after each wash of the face in order to close the pores and to restore the pH balance of the skin.
  • Rainy season makes the skin dehydrated; hence the skin must be moisturized regularly to keep it healthy.
  • The cleansing agent must be mild but strong enough to remove the dirt and dust from the skin.
  • Dirty water of the rains can lead to toe infections of the toes and nails. Diabetic patients must take special care to keep their feet dry and clean. Walking in puddles of water must be avoided and shoes, socks and raincoats must be kept clean and dry.
  • Even though the sky is cloudy and you aren’t directly exposed to the sun, 80 per cent of UV rays still pass through clouds and penetrate your skin. Using a water resistant, oil-free broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF of 30 and above is the best way to protect your skin.
  • Ditch the heavy foundation and make the switch to a theraderm BB cream or a tinted moisturizer, preferably with an SPF that will give you just enough coverage for the day.
  • To get rid of all the grime on your feet by using chemical peel like glycolic or lactic peel .
  • The humid weather can make the skin dry or oily. Cleanse your skin with medicated wipes at least twice a day to slough away sweat, impurities and dead skin build-up. If you have dry skin, use a cream-based cleanser to keep it moist. For oily skin, opt for a soap less gel cleanser that will cleanse and purify the skin while balancing its pH.
  • Wet hair can cause damage to your hair as rain water is dirty and acidic, which is really bad for your hair.so, keep hair dry .
  • Use a mild yet deep cleansing shampoo to remove any residue on your scalp left behind by rain water as well preventing fungal or bacterial infections.
  • Hair oil boosts the moisture in your hair which revitalizes your hair
  • Avoid tying up your hair in the monsoon  which make it frizzy due to dipping of rainy water into it.
  • Deep moisturizing to hair is done by using conditioner on entire shaft of hair specially on ends of your hair .

Monsoon awake the nature from a deep sleep and the entire dry land turns into beautiful green carpet .so this monsoon  visit your doctor and make yourself aware about skin and hair care to look beautiful …..to Be Attractive ……
