What is Fashion?

The word Fashion can be thought of as a combination of : Fun – Ambitious- Sizzling- Hot – Independent – Optimistic- Narcissistic . On the surface it might seem that be fashionable is all about expensive fabrics, trending designs, slim body. But no, there is much to it than you can see. There are certain scientific rules to look fashionable in whatever you wear.

1 ) The fit : clothes should fit appropriately and neither sag nor be too tight.

2) Colour combination : You have to be very careful about this point because a wrong colour combination can make you commit fashion blunders even when there is nothing wrong with the outfit.

3) Accessorizing : This can make even simple outfits go from dull to f-a-bulous.

But never over accessorize as it can make your outfits look cheap.

4) Experimenting : To be a style diva you need not own truck loads of outfits but what you do need to have is a vision about the combinations of outfits that might look good together. And in this process you might commit fashion blunders at times but thats okay.

5) Occasion appropriate : I know there might be a cute see- through top you bought the other day and cant wait to wear it . But cant visit college in that causing boys to lose concentration in studies. You need to pick outfits which suit the situation . You can look as cute in a denim top and make a style statement in college.

Appearances should not matter and we should not judge someone by their looks but if being a bit creative can boost our confidence , then why not invest a little time and be fabulous. Life is short so never be scared to try something new.

One can maintain good body and be happy not by sacrificing his food desire but by taking small quantities of what you like to satisfy your cravings, because when you appreciate yourself that’s when you are beautiful and appreciation is only possible one is happy with themselves.

Health Benefits of Tea

Can you imagine a day without tea? As a tea lover, I know the answer is a ‘big fat no’. Even imagining a day without tea is impossible. If Newton’s apple has made our life complicated, Shennong’s boiling water helps us to get over it, at least for a moment. What if the leaves hadn’t fell in and turned the water red? Newton would have covered our mind with clouds of concept. Although it’s a conspiracy theory still we can thank the emperor for his discovery. Tea is the second most consumed drink in the world after water. It equals the consumption of coffee, chocolate, soft drink and alcohol combined. I’ve always wondered why? Why is it so that tea is the most important part of our everyday life? What are the benefits of having tea?

I came across many benefits which answered my questions. Some of them are:

  • It contains antioxidants.
  • It has less caffeine than coffee.
  • It reduces the risk of heart attack and strokes.
  • It may help in weight loss.
  • It helps protect bones.
  • It boosts our immune system.
  • Many studies have even found, it helps in battle against cancer.

    And the list goes on.

Meanwhile there are also some harmful effects of tea. High consumption of black tea that contains caffeine can cause mild to serious effects like headache, nervousness, sleeping problems, diarrhoea, irritability, dizziness, etc. Simply saying “Excess of anything is bad.”

The world isn’t over yet. Tea has spread its wing and given us a kind that’s beneficial for us in the form of ‘Green tea’.

Why everyone should drink Green Tea?

Tea is one of the oldest and a completely natural drink on the globe and Green Tea, the healthiest of the tea industry. The difference is not in the plant but the way its leaves are processed. Green tea leaves are steamed rather than fermented. Its health benefits combined with delicious flavour has given it a new height. It has been researched and found that green tea inhibits the growth of cancerous cells, effectively removing the risk of certain type of cancer. It also reduces cholesterol. It has been found that green tea removes the bad cholesterol from our body. It improves our diet and has come out as an important ingredient in beauty products. It also helps in removing decay from the teeth.
Meanwhile black and oolong do have some similar benefit but Green Tea comes out as a winner. So if you are not already a tea lover, be one.

In the words of C.S.Lewis, “You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me” and Fyodor Dostoyevsky, “I say let the world go to hell, but I should always have my tea.” So what are you waiting for. Grab a cup, pour in and live.

Romance in blue moon night

At a very young age, many men had touch me due to my feminity. My feminity was molested and I was merely a sex toy for eyes full of lust. Those days were bad, dark and horrible I use to be sceptical that whether someone even loves me or not. All that I heard was taunts for my feminine behaviour and at that time only thing which made me happy was my passion for dance and poetry. And as they say when you are in your adolescence sometimes controlling your hormones becomes uneasy. I was introduced to dating sites where many people who were looking for sex but not for love. After some casual flings I chatted with a guy who seemed to be very honest in his approach and then words were pouring into our chat box, digits went across the borders of our mind and we met. It was an unusual day which started off as the disappointment but who knows what is up next?

I met him at a railway station and there comes this guy with an amazing personality which can be spotted out on the spot and anyone can fall for him and I did. I was blushing when he said “hi” to me and it took some time for me to respond him and I was already in love. I went with him to his flat and it was a great place to be a small and sweet house to create lot of memories, half of the time I was busy narrating how bad my day was and after a moment I realised he’s just staring me as if he just wanted some noise in his silent life. Our chats were never ending, we giggled, laughed and hugged each other several times that day but idea of making love wasn’t in our mind.

It just happened, romance just dropped in like a red grape in wine to make it more sensuous, our lips spoke less as they were busy caressing each other. And that was the first time when someone touched my lips. I was flabbergasted and then he plays a melodious Hindi song and he beholds me in his arms and dances with me. Those were some of the best moments of my life when I was the only centre of attraction and there was someone who knew how to make love and be a gentleman. His eyes full of love were piercing my heart and I didn’t want to leave him but circumstances departed us by distance but we were close to each other’s heart and we rejoiced every other day since then.

And romance in blue moon night made me more confident and self-loving and it evoked the feeling of love in me and erupted beautiful memories whenever I think of it after my break-up.

So, when men can wear whatever they want, women must read this post to make sure that they don’t undergo any kind of embarrassing moments during the festival of colours.

Here are tips for what to wear during Holi:

  1. Choose the Right Fabric: Make sure that the fabric of the dress you’re wearing doesn’t cling to your body or it is going to look really vulgar when you play with water. The clothes must be loose and non-sticky. Frock style Dresses, jeans, harems, loose kurtas etc go really well with the occasion. Also, make sure that the fabric doesn’t get transparent after getting wet. You don’t want to look obscene in your clothes.

  3. Befriend Dupatta: After getting wet with a bucket full of water balloons, women often get conscious about their body. You don’t want to grab all the attention towards your bosom. In such times, dupatta comes to your rescue. Dupatta can save you from a lot of embarrassment. So, even if you’re wearing western dress, go for a scarf or fully-fledged dupatta.
  4. Go for a saree: Saree is the traditional dress worn during Holi and it goes really well with the look and feel of the festival. You can also try to wear a saree in a funky style to enhance your look. Even a salwar kurta looks great during Holi.
